March Madness

Been busy the last few days.

Last Friday drove up to Oakland for the Royal Jokers' Cruise Night. Had fun! www.royaljokers.blogspot.com.

Saturday I went with Markos to The March Meet at Famoso Raceway. It was a weird day at the drags, The weather had been shitty all week and made the track ugly to run on. We saw a couple guys hit the wall and even a car flip over. Scary stuff. Still was a fun little trip. Always good to catch up with Markos DeLaVerga.

even though the weather sucked, the stands were packed.

Neat little bike to get around the pits.

Wheels.

Some guy told me and Mark, "Everyone has a camera these days.. Everyone is a photographer.' He's right.

Sunday and Monday I stayed in Salinas and worked on some stuff.

Tuesday I went to watch Travis Barker and A Trak at The Roxy on Sunset.. I'll post on that later

Weekends were made for fun..

Had a good weekend...

I'll start off with pics from Thursday.

Freddy, my brother and I went to Salinas Boys' shop to shoot a few flicks of the bike Cole and the boys were finishing up for a Japanese client. Beautiful bike.. really clean & compact. These guys are on top of their game...

Here's my brother & Freddy looking at the bikes..

Aaron putting some last minute touches on the bike before it heads for Japan.

Two awesome and very different styled bikes being built at the same time.

Then On Friday night I met Lil Watcha in San Jose and headed to the Royal Jokers Cruise Night in Oakland...

I was backseat driver.

Here's Lil Watcha's Impala sitting front row at the Cruise Night.

There was a clean 61 Impala at the Cruise Night.

After the Cruise Night we headed to downtown San Jose to meet my brother & Big Ed to cruise San Jose...

It was cool to see a few low riders out.

Saturday.. I woke up early to make it to the Marina Swapmeet, but not early enough to sell, story of my life.

As I was taking off Diego was about to eat breakfast.

Saw a cheap little chain steering wheel, almost bought it just to have it... There were some deals to be found.. too bad I'm broke.

Here is a neat little Sportster that was only going for $7,500

Took my god daughter with us to the swap meet, it was funny to watch her run around look and touch stuff and ask a lot of questions..

Here she is as we're leaving for her "Brudder's" birthday party.

After we walked around the swap meet and didn't buy much we headed to Chendito's birthday party. It was fun, watched some good college football, ate some tri-tip (small portion.. boo) drank a light beer and played with the kids a little.

Then later that night I went to have a couple drinks with some good friends...

Sunday I woke up early to design a rush logo job, watched NFL and went to go get more ink... I'll post pics of my new tattoo soon..

Peace

Weekend Warrior

Wikipedia: Weekend is a term referring to two traditionally non-working days in a seven-day week...

Me: Weekend is a term referring to two traditionally car show going or car shooting days.

Well this past weekend I did manage to go to a couple shows... A little different than your usual shows.

FRIDAY: Got off work a little early picked up my brother and camera and headed to San Jose to pick up Lil Watcha.

That's the lil ninja...

Then we headed to downtown Oakland to visit The Royal Jokers' First Cruise Night http://www.royaljokers.blogspot.com/

The location was 1/4 Lb Giant Burger.. nice little spot

A few of the cars that showed up

Big Watcha is everywhere... even at the Oakland First Friday Artwalk.

More of the cars.

When in Oaktown you're guaranteed to see some Police brutality, oh wait they're letting the guy get in the Police car himself. How nice of them.

You know how I know you're gay?

The Mejia Merc is "too many fancy"

SATURDAY: Wanted to wake up early to head out to the Marina Swapmeet and sell some junk, but I woke up too late (story of my life) so I just went to go look around with my friend Knowie. He bought some tools (actually ripped a guy off) and I bought a sweet Dick Tracy toy.

Nice wheels, wish I had the money to buy them.

Nice moto with a little 110 motor.

Future Hot Rodder!

That's me with Low Riding legends, Chaco (old school photographer for Lowrider Magazine in the late 70's and Rod Powell)

A nice little bus.

Then I went home to get picked up by Silk so we could go to the Monterey Beerfest.
Salud!

This one's for you

It's pretty cool to see some of my work being served at the Beerfest

Hipsters are the new jocks... Think I could pull that look? haha

Then later that day I went to help my friends move into their new home. On Sunday I woke up really late, like afternoon late and went to help my friends again. I see many nights hanging out at their new home in my future.
